WriteWays has been created to meet the proofreading and copy editing needs of those in the children’s publishing and the education sectors, as well as those in other fields requiring our services.

WriteWays began as a tutoring service back in 2007. Due to COVID and other circumstances, WriteWays took a break for a couple of years, but is now back with a focus on proofreading and copy editing.

The owner of WriteWays, Kirstie Gill, is a primary (elementary) school teacher in Auckland, New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree (Alberta, Canada) and a Master of Professional Studies in Language Teaching – Honours (Auckland).

Kirstie has taught hundreds of students over the years, and has helped many more with their writing through her tutoring services. These roles have given Kirstie significant experience in proofreading and copy editing.

While tutoring, Kirstie also had the opportunity to proofread and copy edit academic writing for local university students and an academic journal. See the portfolio page for more details.
